The world is changing—fast

A letter from our founder

Dear Business Leader,

The most important question of our times is: "You knew, what did you do?"

This is your moment to step up and be the change the world so urgently needs. The time for Business as Usual is over.

The science is clear, and the social and environmental challenges we face are accelerating.

As business leaders, the decisions we make today will shape the world our children and future generations inherit.

It's our choice.

Now is the time to lead with purpose, curiosity, compassion, and courage.

It’s no longer enough to focus solely on profit. Your impact on people and our planet must take centre stage. Businesses that fail to act on this will find themselves left behind, while those that rise to the challenge will build trust, resilience, and a lasting legacy.

At UK for Good, we don’t just consult - we guide you to lead with purpose. We help you transform into a business that is collaborative, compassionate, and committed to doing what’s right - even when it’s hard. The future demands more than compliance; it demands leadership that drives real change.

This is your moment to become a force for good. A business that people want to work for, buy from, and believe in.

Are you ready to lead with impact?

Why become a
B Corp?

Because B Corps
do well and do good

Business leaders commit to becoming a B Corp because they know it’s not only the right thing to do, but also the smart thing to do. Research shows that B Corps outperform non-B Corps with:

Profitability

greater

profitability

Innovation

higher levels of

innovation

Loyalty

increased

customer loyalty

Employee Retention

much higher

employee retention

Community

greater focus on

civic & community engagement

Business reinvention will be a full-contact sport for CEOs and their top teams during the years ahead, and the data suggests that a special kind of leadership will be required because deep change is possible only when individuals at all levels adapt and grow. CEOs need to double down on setting a shared vision, empowering people to make decisions, and being visible champions for change.

B Corp-Black

The B Corp journey

Become a force for good

B Corp certification examines your business’s impact from the perspective of all of your stakeholders. It isn’t an easy journey. It’s robust, intentionally difficult, and designed to help you understand and improve your impact across all areas of your business; your governance, workers, community, the environment, and your customers.

The rigorous process ensures that only companies meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance get certified. These businesses are legally committed to consider the impact of their decisions on all stakeholders, including planet and employees - not just shareholders.

To certify on the current Assessment (V6), you'll need to complete the online B Impact Assessment (BIA) and score 80 points or over. The V6 Assessment is available until December 2025 for businesses wishing to certify for the first time.   Following verification by B Lab's Standards team, once certified, the breakdown of your score will be publicly available via the B Corp Directory.

All B Impact Assessments are evaluated and independently verified by the B Lab Standards team so your customers, employees and investors can take comfort that you're taking your commitment to people and the planet seriously.

NEW STANDARDS - On April 8th 2025 B Lab launched the new standards. Under the new standards, every business seeking B Corp certification or recertification must meet specific, measurable expectations across seven Impact Topics. These aren’t optional or cherry-picked – they’re required, and they reflect the most pressing challenges of our time. We're really excited about the new standards - raising the bar is what the world needs right now. Learn more about the new standards here.

We are here to help - with expert, tailored support for your business.

I shared my dream of my business certifying as a B Corp with a friend and she recommended UK For Good. After an initial conversation with Donna, I knew that my business would be in great hands! They guided me through the B Impact Assessment, clarifying questions I found challenging and holding me accountable throughout the journey. We submitted the BIA and achieved certification within a year! I think that being a B Corp generates trust. It reassures people that we’re genuinely committed to doing the right thing, not just saying we're doing the right thing. I could not recommend UK For Good more highly.

They were so attentive and so supportive throughout the journey, checking in constantly to make sure we understood what was required of us and to give really useful advice about evidence-gathering. We loved their style and their genuine interest in helping us become more accountable when it came to our own impact. We realised very quickly that this wasn’t just lip-service for UK for Good – they really care about their work and are completely authentic about making a difference in the world, and that’s exactly the sort of partner we want to work with. We’re now immersed in a vibrant community of purposeful businesses who all want to support each other to make a difference. It really has changed our business for the better and we’re immensely humbled to be a part of the brilliant B Corp movement.

From our first interaction, it was clear that Donna’s care and compassion, combined with her deep knowledge of the B Corp process, was exactly what we needed to help us through the application. Donna provided invaluable recommendations and policy templates to ensure that as a business we were prepared for not only securing B Corp certification, but also operating in a manner befitting of a B Corp business. This resulted in a swift and pain free review process with the B Lab analyst and ultimately our very own B Corp certification. As a relatively young business, this is a huge milestone and provides significant credibility for securing more clients with similar ethical principles.

We were introduced to UK for Good by someone who recognised that our values aligned with theirs and we haven’t looked back. They introduced us to the B Corp movement in a bigger way and opened our eyes to what it meant for us as a business and how to recognise and improve our impact. We could not have achieved our B Corp certification without the team. Their knowledge and commitment to this movement is incredible and as a business, even a small one like ours, it’s a no brainer to get the guidance and influence from the experts at UK for Good. We immediately saw a positive impact for the business and for us as individuals. We were embraced by a community across social media and welcomed into one of the most supportive business environments there is. We have gained new clients and strong relationships with great businesses that share our outlook, attitudes and ambitions.

We decided to partner with UK For Good from the very beginning of our B Corp journey; we wanted to work with someone who took the time to truly understand our business, who would guide us knowledgeably through the process, but also challenge us on a deeper level. Thanks to Donna, we were extremely prepared for our B Corp verification interview and are now successfully B Corp certified! Since becoming a B Corp, it has highlighted areas where we excel but also key areas of improvement, and we are able to create a clear ESG strategy to continue to be a 'Better Business'.  Our B Corp certification has also given us the 'winning edge' in various pitches and we have acquired new clients as a result!

Donna and the UK for Good team came recommended to us by a trusted industry contact. They gave us clear insight, inspiration and confidence in the changes all businesses should and could make to support a global change. This experience and guidance was invaluable (50% of businesses that apply for B Corp fail to achieve it) and 18 months later we achieved B Corp certification. We couldn’t have achieved this without Donna’s help and support. Being a B Corp business has changed our thinking, our purpose and our attitude to all stakeholders for the better. It has given us a framework to operate our business within, and a renewed energy to be a better business for our people, our community and the planet. We are also now ambassadors for, and changing mindsets within, our industry. We are excited about the future and how we can continue to be a better business.

Frequently Asked Questions

* Is the pursuit of the B Corp certification a necessary element of working together?

No, we recognise that B Corp certification might not be the preferred, or viable, route for every business. Either way, we can support you to become a force for good and a business which people want to work for, buy from, and believe in.

* Is the achievement of B Corp certification guaranteed by working together?

We have supported lots of businesses through their successful B Corp certification journeys, and we will do our very best to guide and advise you on your journey too. However, we cannot guarantee that you will achieve the certification: the decision is ultimately made by the analysts at B Lab, not by UK for Good.

What size and type of organisation do we usually work with?

We typically work with established organisations that have between 30 and 2000 employees. They have authentic and committed leadership teams who are interested in shaping a better world and recognise the need to reinvent—but aren’t sure how, and need some support.

In addition to supporting your social and environmental goals, we are particularly keen to work with organisations looking to improve their representation and support for people of colour, disability, LGBTQ+ and young people.
